Trust in God

Value- Faith

Sub value- Trust

A newly wed man was returning home with his  radiant wife. They were crossing a lake in a boat, when suddenly they were caught in a freak storm. The man who was a warrior was unafraid, but his wife was very frightened and in great despair. Their little  boat was being tossed around by the rogue waves and the  ferociousness of the storm was greatly threatening to her. She felt that at any  moment their boat would capsize and they would  be drowned. But the man sat silently, calm and quiet, as if nothing was going on.

The wife in a  trembling voice asked her calm husband, “Are you not afraid ? This may be our last moment of life! It doesn’t seem possible that we shall reach ashore safely. Only a  miracle can save us; otherwise death is certain. Are you not afraid? Are you mad or something? Are you made of stone or something?

The man laughed and took out his sword from  its sheath. The wife was even more puzzled and wondered what her husband was up to. Then he brought the naked sword close to her neck, so close that just a small gap was there, it was almost touching her neck.

He asked his wife,” Are you afraid ?”

The wife started to laugh and said,” Why should I be afraid ?Even though the sword is in your hands, why should I be afraid? I know you love me.”

He put the sword back and said, This is my answer. I know God Loves me, and the storm is in His hands”.

SO WHATSOEVER IS GOING TO HAPPEN, IS GOING TO BE GOOD  because everything is in His hands and He cannot do anything wrong.

Learning

We must develop Trust. This is the trust which one needs to imbibe and only this is capable of transforming our whole life. Any less won’t do!
