How I developed faith in God

Value- Faith

When I was 8 years old, my father had to have a surgery in a hospital. One of the doctors during the surgery made a mistake that resulted in kidney inflation and high creatinine levels. The doctors said that if the creatinine goes very high it would lead to kidney failure and he would need to be on dialysis for life. I was really scared and didn’t know what to do. My mom said that we should keep praying to God and our Guru (Master) as He would give us the strength and show the right path. In a couple of days, while my dad’s condition was worsening, by God’s grace a good friend of ours, a reputed doctor in the same hospital, recommended a well-known doctor, who treated my dad and got him out of danger. During this time, our faith in our Guru and God kept us going and gave us the strength of face this crisis with full faith and courage.  After my dad was cured my mom and I went to meet our Master. We wrote a letter  thanking Him for always guiding us.  Our Guru came to my mom and gestured to the letter. We handed it to Him with gratitude.

When one prays with sincerity and devotion, the prayers are heard and faith becomes strong. This experience was a significant event in my life as it strengthened my faith, making me grateful and thankful to my Master (Sai baba)
